for solo cornet

Commissioned by Mason Rorapaugh, rough panoramas is a short piece for solo cornet written as part of my project to take on “mini-commissions” for unaccompanied works during the spring and summer of 2020. 

The title (which is also an anagram of the dedicatee’s name) refers to the various images created through the contrasting muted and open sections as well as the three cadenzas which are each evocative of a different time period and style.
