This piece was completed on 29 March 2020, the date of composer Krzysztof Penderecki’s death. The piece bears a dedication to him and also includes a short quote of his Concertino for Trumpet and Orchestra.

 

Ineffable is a short, rhapsodic fantasy for solo trumpet full of room for expression. The title is also a play on the word “fable”, as I invite you to spin your own tale that is beyond words.
