Commissioned by Lizabeth Desmet, glister is a short fantasy for solo flute written as part of my project to take on “mini-commissions” for unaccompanied works during the spring and summer of 2020.

This piece is based on harmonic major scales with the second note removed and utilizes rapid arpeggios, trills, and flourishes to create the shimmering sound hinted at by the title
